This is a drawing of Aly, a character from Tamora Pierce's "Trickster's Choice". I've been working on it on and off for a looong time and finally decided to finish. Her face has changed A LOT since my original sketch of her [link] in my scraps. I think, however, I went a little nuts on the wacky background. Forgive that.
Aly is living as a spy in the Copper Isles, a land full of turmoil and segregation. She works as a slave while spying with the help of the native crows (whom she can understand and who, apparently, can turn into humans anytime they want. Neato.)
