My first fanart of Tamora Pierce's kickin' fantasy series! This is Daine (Veralidaine Sarrasri) from her Immortal series, a young girl who holds a special bond animals of all kind. I drew her here with her pony Cloud and her adopted dragon Kitten (full name, Skysong).

Hmm, colored this in Opencanvas, as opposed to my usual Photoshop. I ended up liking the watercolorish effect, though I'm still not sure I'm using the program exactly right. Ah well. I don't care.

Fans of Tamora Pierce unite! Anyone know of a club here on Deviantart? Must find one...

I dunno, the colouring seems somewhat dirty and the colours washed out. Otherwise, I like it.

I like all the colours, except for her skin tone, the shadows look a little too brown/green. Her hair looks really nice though.

ohhh thats totally adorable! i love her wideset eyes it makes her look really mysteriousss, and she looks gorgeous, great coloring job! aww and i love clouds eyes, lol, but they look a little too nice and innocent to be the true cloud that we know and loveee...
